SAFARIS AND EXCURSIONS
Tour prices are for the land package only.  

Items included are: all your lodging, indicated meals, all ground transportation, in-country flights as indicated, your guides, tour leaders (for group safaris), park fees. All of your lodging will have clean rooms with private showers and toilets.

Items not included are: airfare*, beverages, items of a personal nature (laundry can be done in the lodges), tips and visa - (visas for both Kenya & Tanzania are currently $50) and Flying Doctor Insurance.

GROUP SAFARIS are tours set for a specific date, a set minumum number of people and are specially designed by the Safari Express Company. These tours will be accompanied by a tour leader(s) from the Safari Express Company.

Group tours may also be put together for private parties of 15 or more people and will include a Safari Express Company tour leader. These itineraries can be designed to any specific requests and dates or you can choose from one of our published tours. Please inquire within.

PERSONALIZED SAFARIS will operate with a minimum of two people using one of our pre-set published tours. The published tours will operate twice a week (see individual tour for days of operation). Any listed excursions may also be added to these tours.

EXCURSIONS are additional events that you may include in your tour package. Supplemental charges are listed to the right of each excursion.

KAREN BLIXEN/GIRAFFE MANOR (Half Day)
Upon arrival you feel you are on the set of 'Out of Africa' as you visit the simple colonial farmhouse full of items that Karen Blixen chose and touched herself. The Ngong Hills can be seen from the dining room window.
From here go and visit the Giraffe Center, where the highly endangered Rothschild Giraffe lives in peace. With an elevated viewing/feeding platform, this tour is wonderful for children (and the inner child in the rest of us).

NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK (Half Day)
Kenya’s oldest National Park (1946) is located just 20 minutes from the city center. While relatively small, at seventy-five square miles, it is one of the better places to see black rhino. The park is home to some 80 species of wildlife, with the exception of elephant, and over 500 species of bird.

CARNIVORE RESTAURANT (Lunch or Dinner)
This unique eatery is located on the outskirts of Nairobi. The dining area is set in a beautiful garden patio. Just as it sounds, it is a place to try a wide variety of meats including several types of game such as zebra, crocodile, ostrich, etc. One of Africa's greatest eating experiences.

DAPHNE SHELDRICK ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE
Visit the sanctuary, the animals and keepers on the grounds of Daphne Sheldrick's home and gain an insight into this fascinating organization.
Daphne has been the subject of numerous specials seen on The Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and PBS.
